Visiting St Wulfram's Church
We visited St Wulfram's church this week.
Father Stuart Cradduck welcomed everyone to the church and gave the children and parents a guided tour around all the different parts of St Wulfram's, before letting them explore! They looked at all the different colours, shapes and patterns on the stained glass windows, and on the walls and ceilings. There were lots of things to look out for in the church, the children had to search for the various stone animals carved into the walls, they found a treasure chest in the crypt chapel, they looked at a model of the church made of matchsticks and they even got to listen to Father Stuart play the organ! It was very loud!
We took some wax crayons and paper with us so we could do some rubbings of all the beautiful patterns around the church. When we returned to nursery, we created some stained glass windows of our own, using black paper and cellophane!
